Reading Skills Used in English Textbook

چکیده
This article investigates a reading skill content in English textbook used at state senior high school from the point of view its variety, exploitability, suitability, length text, readability, and authenticity texts. A representation theory was to explore key issue textbook. multimodal discourse analysis is applied, more specifically through verbal visual texts within The results reveal that there are seven with different variety namely narrative, expository, speech, play script, recount text. There one text not suitable characteristics book length, rest met authenticity. Therefore, further studies required achieve deeper information about how Indonesia can implement international standard.
